(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 28 – Ukraine’s accession to the EU in the immediate future “is not on the agenda”. This was stated by the High Representative for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, before the extraordinary defense council which will take place via videoconference. “We have to give an answer for the next few hours, not for the next few years”, explains Borrell, adding that “Ukraine has a clear European perspective”, but now is the time to “fight against aggression”.
