In fact, the grocery store in the Pontalpine district is looking for a new manager and does so through an announcement posted on the notice boards of the town and disclosed to the members of the Quantin Consumer Cooperative.
With the social assembly held in June, the current manager of the grocery store, Claudio Viel, had given the news that he wanted to leave the business at the end of 2021. The management of the Quantin Cooperative thus began to make contact with some eligible candidates. renters, but for now without success.
“Time is running out and we do not want to arrive in December without having found a person to take over the management of the shop”, says the president of the Cooperative, Emanuele Viel, “we want at all costs to keep this store open, essential for our country, but not only. In fact, the Quantin grocery store is the only one left serving all the hamlets of the Coi de Pera area, in the municipality of Ponte, and often also serving the Nevegal, both for tourists and residents. Closing the grocery business would be a serious loss for our entire community because the elderly population would suffer above all, but also because an important service for everyone would be lost ”.
Next to the shop, in the building owned by the Cooperative, the bar-pizzeria, recently renovated and which has maintained the same management for almost twenty years, works very well. This too is a strong point of attraction for the social life of the hamlet.
«As a Cooperative», continues Viel, «we want to meet the managers of our commercial activities as much as possible. Our rental proposal, in fact, is 250 euros plus VAT per month and provides for the management of the grocery store with a license for multipurpose activities, or with the possibility of also selling other goods such as gas cylinders, stationery material or other. still. Furthermore, for the manager there are no additional expenses: the improvements are borne by the Cooperative which, among other things, has recently renovated some machinery in the shop ».
The availability given by the council of the Cooperative also lies in the fact of granting the rent even on trial for one year, as well as being able to manage the business with flexible hours. It should be underlined, then, how this activity can benefit from some incentives and tax reliefs with a facilitated taxation regime, also accessing tenders intended for the opening of activities by young people or women.
