A 17-year-old boy was the victim of a beating in the afternoon in Colleferro, a town in the province of Rome which has already made headlines for the death of Willy Duarte Monteiro, the young man killed in similar circumstances. A group of three or four boys allegedly attacked the 17-year-old who was on Corso Filippo Turati. The young man was transported in code red to the hospital but would not be life threatening. “The aggression this afternoon is an unacceptable fact. In the town of the Roman hinterland, the episode reawakened the drama already experienced with the death of Willy, when that 21-year-old boy, of Cape Verdean origin, was beaten to death in September 2020. He wanted to defend a friend during a beating. it cost his life. The brothers Marco and Gabriele Bianchi will go to trial for his death, on charges of voluntary murder. An accusation also leveled at the other two “protagonists” of the dramatic attack: Mario Pincarelli and Francesco Belleggia. For the mayor of Colleferro Pierluigi Sanna also for this reason today’s attack is “very serious” and gives “chills”. “Young people who beat a young minor, during the day, on Corso Turati and run away, cannot go unpunished – he says on social media – I am in constant contact with the emergency room to get news on the state of health of the victim of the attack, currently in code red. We are all awaiting official news from the Police that clarify the dynamics of the facts: we know that they are close to arresting the guilty. Our wounds are still too open on these issues: our pain and our indignation are particularly vast “.
