Buzzard attacks the children of a kindergarten in Aci Castello: “hunting” the bird of prey

ACI CASTELLO – The “Poiana di Harris” specimen that in Aci Castello, in the province of Catania, has been nesting near the nursery school “Maria Montessorì and attacks the children for some days may have escaped the owner, who still held it illegally. A few days ago a child was wounded in the forehead and cheek and was treated in the hospital, but other children would have avoided attacks by the hawk for a short time.

The bird of prey, native to the American continent, has built its nest on a nearby palm tree. Apprehension among the parents of the children, who are forced to take their children running and sheltering under umbrellas.

Attempts are underway by the Forest Guard to capture the specimen.
