“Here the actor Andrade Junior, who plays the protagonist, evokes his childhood memories”, says Camilo Cavalcante, director of King Kong in Asuncion. “This grants an emotional depth to the scene.”
The film tells the story of an old hitman who wants to retire, and who crosses the salt flats and mountains of South America to get to Asunción, Paraguay, with the aim of finding his only daughter he has never met.
Camilo Cavalcante is a Brazilian director and screenwriter. In addition to several documentaries he has directed the story of eternity (2014). July 4th King Kong in Asuncion it will premiere at the Isola del cinema in Rome, and then will be screened at the Eliseo cinema in Milan, on 7 July as part of the Brazilian film festival, Agenda Brasil. The director will be present on both occasions.
