BELLUNO. The firefighters of the Santo Stefano detachment intervened on the morning of Saturday 11 June for the fire of a camper parked in a lay-by, on the road to Palus San Marco, in the territory of Auronzo di Cadore, in the locality of Miniera, above Somprade.
Arriving at the scene, they realized that there was a person inside the vehicle, who was probably sleeping and died charred. The fire was put out, but the camper was completely destroyed.
Investigations underway to name the victim. The documents were burned and the old plate can only be read partially, therefore the investigations by the Auronzo carabinieri are not simple. He could be a tourist, even if the area of the fire is close to an old landfill, next to the regional 48 of the Dolomites. The area was seized by the judicial authorities.
