Campobello di Licata, car against a tree: one dead and one seriously injured

AGRIGENTO – A thirty-one year old from Campobello di Licata (Ag), Angelo Pio La Mendola, died following a road accident that occurred along the state road 123 at the intersection with via Peppino Impastato. A 34-year-old man who was in the car with the victim was seriously injured and was admitted to the “San Giacomo d’Altopasso” hospital in Licata (Ag) where the doctors kept the prognosis on life confidential. The thirty-one year old – according to the reconstructions of the carabinieri – would have lost control of the car, a BMW 1 series, which he was driving that ended up against a tree. The incident did not involve other means of passage. The carabinieri took care of the road system that was made safe and of the technical surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
