The island of Capri loses one of its most famous characters, an icon of the Dolce Vita and an appreciated chansonnier.
Guido Lembo, patron of the tavern “Anema e Core”, a point of reference for the Capri nightlife, died at the end of a long illness. He was 75 years old, he was hospitalized in a clinic in Castellammare di Stabia.
An affable and contagious host, Lembo had over the years established solid friendships with some of the most famous Hollywood stars, regular habitué of the island’s club. The news of his disappearance froze the island.
Guido Flap he had changed the nights of Capri by creating a small place close to the famous Piazzetta, where VIPs, actors, singers, entrepreneurs, but also the habitués of the blue island have passed by.
From Jennifer Lopez, to Naomi Campbell, to the players of various teams (Ferrara, Insigne, Mertens, Totti), to the entrepreneurs Luigi Abete, his friend, and Diego della Valle, many have been involved in Guido’s music Flap who, at the end of the evening, invited people to get on the table and sing the classic Neapolitan melodies that celebrities and common customers performed with the guitar.
