Castelfranco: behind the wheel without a license, with his friend “escaped” from quarantine

by admin

They were discovered during a police check in Castelfranco. “I thought the quarantine was over,” he said

CASTELFRANCO. The boy driving without a license, and the passenger away from home despite being quarantined. A double irregularity that will cost dearly to the two young Paduan people stopped by the carabinieri during a check in Castelfranco. The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle was found to have no driving license, revoked by a prefectural order almost two years ago, while the passenger, a 32-year-old, should have been at home in quarantine.

The justifications provided to the carabinieri are not very convincing. The 33-year-old reported that he had started driving only a few moments before the check, while the passenger said he went out for dinner with his friend believing that he had now finished the period of home isolation. For the “pinched” driver without a license, a fine of thousands of euros will be triggered, while the friend has been reported to the Prosecutor’s Office.

In the meantime, the checks on compliance with the anti Covid prescriptions by the military of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Treviso continue: on average, more than 2,000 checks are carried out in the “Marca” on Green pass holders, with almost 200 controlled public activities and establishments, largely without finding violations.
