CASTELLAMONTE
Condolences in the city of ceramics and in the large family of fans of the historic carnival of Castellamonte for the disappearance of Armando Ertola, appreciated and esteemed professional not only in the shadow of the Pomodoro arch. Ertola was the owner of a company of electrical, burglar alarm and building systems for several years.
A reality that has grown thanks to the technical skills of Mr. Armando who has been able to combine continuous training with constant updating to the new needs of a constantly evolving market without neglecting the dedication and stubbornness of the owner who have ensured that, over the years, the Castellamontese firm became a point of reference for many customers, not just local ones. Many works have also been carried out for the Municipality (among others, the plant engineering for the Ceramics Exhibition) and for the Pro loco.
Ertola was well known in the city for having impersonated King Pignatun, the nice character in papier-mâché who is burned at the end of the Ash Wednesday parade, in the 2010 edition, number 58, of the most important carnival event held in Alto Canavese . One of the memorable editions that saw him protagonist alongside the Bela Pignatera and the First Consul, roles that that year were held by Chiara Scamuffo and Luca Simondi.
Numerous testimonies of affection reached the Ertola family also through social media, first of all from the Supreme Order Bela Pignatera and Consoli who wanted to remember King Pignatun 2010 with a splendid series of images of that unforgettable edition of the event. «Armando Ertola was a good person, a respectable man – remembers him the mayor of Castellamonte, Pasquale Mazza -. I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the family on my part and the municipal administration ». Ertola leaves her sons Alessandro and Andrea, former administrator of Palazzo Antonelli, with their respective families. The funeral took place on Thursday in the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul. –
