Catania – The control services of the Municipal Police continue in Catania to verify compliance with the provisions for containing the pandemic and commercial regulations. In particular, with regard to anti-Covid-19 controls, the Commercial Police Department staff in the last few days has carried out the closure of three commercial activities for violation of the rules imposed by current legislation. In particular, a pub in via Coppola was subjected to inspection, jointly with State Police personnel, which served drinks after 10pm to various patrons present. The pub was subjected to temporary closure for 5 days and the owner was recorded with a fine of 400 euros as well as all the customers present, generalized by the state police, for violation of the curfew schedule. Same fate for two kiosks located in Viale Mario Rapisardi which at the time of the inspection of the ration patrols, were found open after 6pm. Both holders were sanctioned with a fine of 400 euros and with the closure of the activity for 5 days , pending the subsequent measures to be adopted by the Prefecture.
With regard to checks on itinerant trade in public areas, other checks were carried out in Via Nuovalucello and in Via Tezzano, the outcome of which three street vendors of fruit and vegetables were recorded: two because they did not have administrative authorization to trade , of the professional requirements and the concession of public land, which is why they were sanctioned with minutes for a total amount of 7,158 euros with the seizure of the goods which were then donated to charity; the third because, although in possession of a type C administrative authorization for itinerant trade, it occupied public land without having obtained the related administrative concession. In addition, the two illegal street vendors were sanctioned with a report of 400 euros because they did not wear a protective mask at the time of the check.
