CATANIA – They went to steal and found death: this is the hypothesis put forward by the carabinieri to explain the double murder committed this afternoon in Pennisi, a hamlet of Acireale.
Two cousins from Catania aged 29 and 30 were found lifeless in a farmhouse inside a farm in via Roccamena, on the outskirts of Acireale. The discovery was made by some relatives of the victims, after the two had not returned home last night: today the terrible discovery.
There is a suspicion that the two were caught stealing and that someone mortally wounded them with several gunshots. The carabinieri of the provincial command and those of the Acireale company are operating on the spot. Investigators are examining the position of an elder, probably one of the many landowners in the area.
