Closed the investigation, verbal harassment on the street of a young woman
(ANSA) – MILAN, 07 JUL – The Milan prosecutor’s office has closed the investigation into a case of ‘catcalling’, that is, of verbal harassment directed in the street or in a public place, against two soldiers of the army, now transferred from barracks where they served, accused of having targeted a 20-year-old girl at least three times in one afternoon. The episode dates back to about three months ago.
The two, who are now at risk of trial, were on leave and were with other friends in a bar under the house of the young woman to whom, while she was returning home, they addressed heavy insults. The alleged offenses are harassment and for one of the two also threats.
The two soldiers, between 30 and 35 years old and who were involved in the ‘Safe Roads’ operation, will be questioned, at their request, by the agents of the Lorenteggio police station, delegated by the deputy prosecutor of Milan and head of the vulnerable groups department, Maria Letizia Mannella, who is the owner of the investigation.
