CCP provides inferior armaments China-Pakistan relations are now cracks | Pakistan | UAV | Air Force

[NTD News October 15, 2021, Beijing time]Pakistan has always been an accomplice of the CCP. China-Pakistan relations are mainly based on a series of modern armaments provided by Beijing to the Islamabad National Defense Forces. However, due to the poor quality of the CCP’s improved military equipment , And imperfect service and maintenance have caused cracks in China-Pakistan relations.

According to a report from Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen TV station, in a recent cooperation, three armed drones sold by China Aviation Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC) and designed by China’s Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group entered the Pakistan Air Force in January 2021. However, It had to be grounded again.

Former Pakistani government official Nisar Ahmed wrote in a blog that Chinese-made Wing Loong II drones (UCAVs) were grounded due to defects within days of enlisting in the army.

Ahmed mentioned in his report “The Pakistani Air Force’s Nightmare for Chinese UAVs” that what makes the Pakistani Air Force more painful is the poor service and maintenance provided by Chinese agencies. So far, China Aviation Technology Import and Export Corporation has remained indifferent to Pakistan’s request for repairs and maintenance of grounded drones.

Ahmed complained that the spare parts provided by CATIC did not meet the standards, and most of them were not suitable for use. The Chinese engineers they originally sent to Pakistan for maintenance proved to be incompetent.

Within a few hours of the drone being put into use, a high-performance synthetic aperture radar (SAR) was detected as a serious malfunction. The problematic synthetic aperture radar blinded the unmanned aerial vehicle and made it impossible to operate.

At the same time, the most serious problem facing Pakistan is the leakage of nitrogen from the electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) system installed on the drone, which makes the EO/IR procedure useless. Originally, these imaging procedures can provide comprehensive situational awareness during the day and night, as well as in low light conditions.

Given its importance, Pakistani Air Force officials hope to replace the EO/IR pod immediately, but the Chinese company has not yet responded to this urgent request.

In addition, the UAV of the Chinese company has many problems: the rear fuel pump is malfunctioning, and the spare parts provided by the Chinese company do not match; the oil removal equipment provided with the UAV has also been found to be unusable. According to Al Mayadeen, the Pakistani military is still waiting for a replacement from China.

Another key issue is the failure of some UAV’s communications satellite (SATCOM) during the launch and take-off phase. On the ground, the SATCOM antenna failed during the field acceptance test (SAT).

Ahmed finally wrote that the Pakistan Air Force has been dealing with a series of low-quality military hardware imported from China, including combat aircraft and armed drones, two key combat components. Now, Pakistani officials have asked Chinese companies to send a group of well-trained professionals to help tide over this severe crisis.
