Céline Sciamma tells a scene from Petite maman (Video)

by admin

“This scene is a metaphor for the film”, says in the video Céline Sciamma, director of Little mom. “The protagonists are two little girls who play a love story. A sisterhood relationship is born between them, which subverts the roles of mother and daughter ”.

The film tells of Nelly, an eight-year-old girl who helps her parents fix the now uninhabited home where her mother, Marion, grew up. Left alone with her father due to a mishap, in the surrounding woods she meets a mysterious little girl: she too is called Marion, and she too – like the mother of the protagonist as a child – is building a tree house.

Céline Sciamma is a French director and screenwriter. The latest films he has directed are Portrait of the young woman on fire (2019) e Black Diamond (2014).
