Challenges in the family, breakups and returns: who are the 287 candidates for the municipal council of Belluno

BELLUNO. An army of 287 candidates for a seat on the city council. There are ten lists presented in support of the three candidates for mayor to the municipal offices of the capital: four each for Oscar De Pellegrin e Giuseppe Vignatotwo for Lucia Olivotto.

De Pellegrin has 104 candidates at his side: the lists are all made up of 26 people, for a precise choice of the coalition the candidate for mayor had explained. Vignato, on the other hand, is supported by 128 candidate directors, with four complete lists (of 32 people).

There are a total of 112 women: 37 are candidates with De Pellegrin, 47 with Vignato and 28 with Olivotto, who is the candidate for mayor who has given more space to the female gender.

CURIOSITY

The 5-star Movement has declared its external support for Vignato, with no candidates lined up. But they are on Olivotto’s lists Sergio Marchese (former M5S city councilor) and the other former Giovanni Tessarolo.

Family challenge come on Buttignon, where the father (Mario) is a candidate with Vignato in the Democratic Party, while the daughter (Simonetta) is in the center of Belluno, at the house of De Pellegrin. The cousin of Vignato, Barbara is in Belluno Bene Comune, Lucia Olivotto’s list and who has focused heavily on integration by including among the candidates several Italian citizens from other countries. A few examples: Burbuqe Gjoshi, Yosaline Meyo Clarine, Artan Shyti. The presence of two former center-right in Vignato’s ranks also stands out: Giorgio De Bona e Bruno Longomister preference of the Gamba coalition five years ago.

SPORTS

Numerous sports candidates with Oscar De Pellegrin: from the former freestyle motocross rider Alvaro Dal Farra a Yari Masochfootballer, by the athletic trainer Francesca Rossi to the athletics technician Giulio Pavei. Then there are the coach Giuseppe Rosa, Ivan Marchetti who is a provincial Fin trustee, Simone Soccal e Marzio Sovilla, well-known faces in the provincial football scene. Sportsmen are also not lacking in Vignato’s lists, who has the volleyball sports manager with him Sergio Milani and the ski instructor Cristiana Gabrieli.

PROFESSIONS

The teachers play the lion’s share: there are nineteen of them. They are followed by doctors and lawyers (thirteen for each category). While the lawyers are equally divided in the lists, the doctors are candidates above all with Vignato and Olivotto, De Pellegrin has only two (Luciano Bassi e Stefano Marson). In the lists there are then five bartenders and owners of premises, five accountants, commercial agents, workers, artisans, artists, clothing designers (Anna Angela Bortoluzzi) and car (Giorgio Pirolo).

Nine students, a category that is highly represented in this election. The youngest is Mariachiara Roldo, candidate with the Democratic Party, who studies in high school and is just 18 years old. She is a few months older and has already turned 19 Giana Draoalso a high school student, with In Movimento.

OVER 50 RETIRED PERSONS

And if these candidates are still busy at school, there are many who have also finished their career and are enjoying a well-deserved rest: 51 retirees are looking for a place in the city council: 15 on De Pellegrin’s lists (seven are in the League), 26 in the Vignato lists (eight in Valore Comune) and ten in those of Olivotto (seven in Together for Belluno).
