[NTDTV, Beijing time, May 09, 2022]China Kexing made a fortune in vaccines because of “anti-epidemic”. But a few days ago, it was revealed that the year-end bonus was withheld and large-scale layoffs were made. Japanese media reported that China’s vaccine was ineffective, with exports in April 97% lower than in September last year.

Mainland media Caitong News reported on May 9, citing Kexing employees, that Beijing Kexing Zhongwei Company made a profit of 82 billion yuan last year. On the grounds of “too much limelight, keep a low profile”, he announced that last year’s year-end bonus was “delayed”.

Then, the company suddenly announced massive layoffs. The employee who broke the news said that the company gave employees two choices. One is that the employee resigns by himself, and the company will pay a certain amount of compensation; the other is that the employee will take an indefinite vacation, and the salary will be paid at 80% of the minimum wage in Beijing, and there is no part-time job and no year-end bonus.

According to the report, Kexing has laid off as much as 70% of its staff. After the last wave of layoffs was completed in April this year, year-end bonuses were distributed to the remaining employees on April 25. Kexing has not responded to the matter.

The report did not mention the reasons for the layoffs. But according to Japanese media reports, China’s vaccine exports have plummeted.

“Nikkei Asia” quoted information from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on the 8th, reporting that the CCP virus (COVID-19) vaccine produced by three Chinese companies, Sinopharm, Sinovac and CanSino, exported a total of 6.78 million doses in April this year, more than The peak of exports in September 2021 will be reduced by 97%.

Exports of the U.S. Moderna vaccine and Pfizer vaccine also fell 57 percent and 71 percent, respectively, from September last year, the report said. But Pfizer’s exports are still eight times the total vaccine exports of the three Chinese companies.

Global demand for vaccines has plummeted this year, and exports of Chinese vaccines have fallen sharply due to their poor efficacy against the Omicron variant strain. Many countries have abandoned Chinese vaccines before, and the CCP’s “vaccine diplomacy” has repeatedly suffered setbacks.

The CCP currently only allows domestic use of ineffective domestic vaccines. In addition to political considerations, public opinion has generally questioned the interests of the powerful behind the CCP’s “zero epidemic prevention”. In addition to the vaccine industry, nucleic acid testing has now become a hugely profitable industry in China.

A few days ago, many places in China are strongly promoting nucleic acid testing for all employees. But some areas, including Shenzhen and Shenyang, are still forcing citizens to get vaccinated.
