[The Epoch Times, March 2, 2022](The Epoch Times reporter Li Yun comprehensive report) Russia invaded Ukraine, the local war continued, and the casualties were heavy. The CCP’s delay in “evacuating overseas Chinese” has put Chinese students stranded there in danger. On March 1, another Chinese was shot and injured. According to sources, people in Russian military uniforms shot the Chinese.

According to Sina.com, on March 1, local time in Ukraine, a Chinese was injured by a bullet on the way from eastern Ukraine to Lviv, and has been sent to the hospital for treatment.

The report quoted the introduction of local Chinese students as saying that the injured Chinese were shot in the waist, and the specific injuries were unknown. The fellow students have stayed in the hospital to take care of the injured.

On the same day, a Chinese student posted a video crying and said, “We were walking, and seven or eight Russian armored tanks shot us. We Chinese were shot in the hospital alone. We are fine now, we are in a refugee camp. .”(click to watch video)

Netizens: A Chinese in Ukraine was shot and injured

That night, a netizen who signed “Reporter Li Xiang” posted a post saying that people in Russian military uniforms shot the Chinese, “I have contacted the injured compatriots (there is a recording).”

Li Xiang said:

1. They all hold Chinese passports.

2. They were a group of people who had only met yesterday to evacuate together. When the two cars were driving from Kyiv to Lviv, one of the cars had a broken tire. They got out of the car to check. There were local Ukrainians passing by, and the broken car was about to be broken. The three compatriots on the top picked up. At this time, the remaining people were attacked by armed men when they were about to get into the car, and the compatriot said that it was a person wearing a Russian military uniform.

There are also Chinese students who posted a video saying that this is the video of the Kharkov city government building on March 1. International students in Kharkov are really very dangerous. If it is not a last resort, they will not go online to ask for help.

“I asked the embassy to help the students trapped in Kharkiv. They didn’t have the ability to evacuate themselves, they couldn’t get a car, and the train station was shelled half an hour ago.”

“It’s not that we didn’t think about running… But our location is too special. It takes an hour to get to the Russian border, and the train takes 6 hours to get to Moscow, but it takes 10 hours to go to Kyiv… Our international students don’t have a car, and there is no local organization. Chamber of Commerce, the subway is not open… Kharkov is really fighting fiercely, and there are really many Chinese!”

There is also a Chinese female student in Ukraine who called the Chinese embassy for help, she cried, “You just told us to evacuate and evacuate by ourselves, but I don’t know where those people who say ‘the country is with us’ on Weibo every day are. ?!”

The embassy staff stressed that “there is really no way” now. The international student asked, “I can’t do anything but wait here to die, and the embassy will not provide me with any help or shelter”?

The embassy staff replied, “I don’t have the conditions now.” The female student asked again, “How long do I have to wait?” The other party said, “This does not depend on me, it depends on the development of the war.”

Netizen “Frank T” said: “Chinese compatriots in Ukraine, don’t you give up, the embassy can’t pick you up…” He asked: “My compatriots are in trouble, where is Wu Jing? Where is the wolf? Where is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? The netizen “Shao Xia” criticized: “The embassy of the Communist Party has left the students in Ukraine to fend for themselves…”

The CCP has not evacuated overseas Chinese and supported Russia, putting Chinese in Ukrainian in danger

On February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine. The CCP’s embassy in Uzbekistan initially called on the Chinese to affix the CCP’s blood flag to ensure safety, but later changed its tune and said that the Chinese “don’t reveal their identities at will.”

In addition, when the whole world is evacuating overseas Chinese, the CCP did not announce the “chartered flight to evacuate overseas Chinese” until the second day of the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, but on February 27, it changed its word to cancel the “evacuation plan”, citing the situation of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Continuously escalating, the official encounters “practical difficulties”.

After Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully assisted 18 Chinese nationals in arriving in Poland, the CCP announced on March 1 that it would launch a bus to evacuate the Chinese nationals. However, many local Chinese students disclosed online that the Chinese embassy could not provide help at all, and even asked the students to flee on their own.

After the Russian-Ukrainian war, the CCP’s pro-Russian stance and the little pink’s derogatory remarks against Ukraine put the Chinese in Ukraine in danger.

A Chinese student posted a video saying, “In the air-raid shelters and subways in Kyiv, people asked Chinese students whether they agreed with those remarks on the Internet, which made many Chinese students afraid to stay in the subway, and many people dared not admit that they were Chinese, lied. Called Japanese…”

He implored, “These keyboard warriors in China, please leave your words and give us a chance to survive.”

“I0nGnnn”, a Chinese netizen in Ukraine, posted on Weibo on February 26, “I ask everyone to stop making fun of the war… Don’t feel that this war deserved to be fought and that it has nothing to do with you!!… …The war is getting more and more intense… When you are lying comfortably at home, drinking milk tea, brushing Weibo, and making jokes, it is our compatriots who are far away on the battlefield who are paying for your actions!! Pushed in the fire pit.”

With Russia under global sanctions, however, the winds in Beijing have shifted. Three platforms, Weibo, Douyin and WeChat, have also deleted relevant information on a large scale.

According to CCTV news of the Communist Party of China, there are currently about 6,000 Chinese citizens in Ukraine, including Chinese-funded enterprises, international students and overseas Chinese, mainly in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkov, Odessa and Sumy.
