With the participation of thirty international delegations, Chocó is expected to be the sporting venue for the women’s mini-soccer World Cup, to be held from December 2 to 10, 2024.

Within the framework of socialization, the president of the Colombian Women’s Mini Soccer Federation, Luis Lozano, and his delegation, gave their approval for the Department to host this World Cup. They had the opportunity to visit the sports venues of Quibdó, Istmina, Andagoya and Tadó, where the competitions of the 17 countries that would come to our department would be held.

From April 27 to May 5, the international delegation of the Federation arrives in Chocó to carry out the second review of the scenarios, the hotel capacity and the technical requirements that the Department must meet to hold this sports festival.

“As a government we must comply with the requirement of guaranteeing the award, which will lead us to knock on doors and look for sponsors to support this objective,” said the Secretary of the Treasury, Heidy Paola Córdoba, after accompanying the visit of the sports directors.
