According to statistics, nearly 100 Taiwanese compatriots were vaccinated against the new coronavirus in the afternoon.

At the vaccination site, Lin Zitong, a Taiwanese student from Yubei District, Chongqing, accompanied her mother to the hospital for vaccination. The mother of the child said that she was very grateful to the government for opening up the vaccination for underage Taiwanese compatriots in a timely manner. The child can be vaccinated simultaneously with Chongqing students. Before vaccination, the medical staff inquired about Lin Zitong’s physical health in detail, and instructed him to fill in relevant information and inform him of precautions.

It is understood that on May 20 this year, Chongqing City fully launched the free vaccinations against the new crown virus for Taiwan compatriots over the age of 18 in Chongqing, setting up multiple vaccination points and 24-hour consultation channels. Under the premise of “informed, agreed, and voluntary”, Taiwanese compatriots can make appointments for vaccinations against the new coronavirus through a variety of methods.

In accordance with the deployment of the State Council’s joint prevention and control mechanism to respond to the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Chongqing launched the new crown virus vaccine for Taiwanese compatriots aged 15-17 years old on August 4, and vaccinated Taiwanese compatriots aged 12-14 years old on August 12. The majority of Taiwan compatriots in Chongqing provide the same treatment as Chongqing citizens.
