The Veneto Region approves the design and construction of the section from Sossano to Cologna Veneta. the promise: “Coordinated, punctual and constant signage”

VENEZIA. The Veneto Region has approved a resolution that gives the green light to a loan for the construction of a further lot of the Treviso-Ostiglia cycle path. The new cycle path will start from Sossano (VI) and will continue to Cologna Veneta (VR), for a total amount of 5 million and 400 thousand euros.

“This additional funding – said Vice President De Berti – allows to complete all the interventions in the Vicenza area and to be able to devote entirely to the completion of the path in the Verona area, partly already financed also with the recent resolution of the Giunta last July, which awarded 7 million and 500 thousand euros for the construction of some sections in the Province of Verona (from Villaga, in the Vicenza area, to Casaleone, in the Verona area) “.

“In the last two years – he continues – the Regional Council has allocated approximately 21.3 million euros of regional resources to Veneto Strade for the design and construction of approximately 50 km of route, including restoration of all the crossing structures, given the high strategic value that the work has for the Veneto area which will make it possible to connect, through the route of the former railway, the Venetian municipalities with the city of Ostiglia, as well as interconnect with the route of the national tourist cycle route “del Sole”.

Finally, the regional Vice-President underlined how, both in the planning phase and in the execution of the interventions, work is being done to give an evident homogeneity to the route: “Every cyclist who will travel the Treviso-Ostiglia – he specified – will have access to a tourist signs, horizontal and vertical, coordinated, punctual and constant, in order to always have in mind the characteristics of the itinerary and to know where it is. The same goes for the support services and tourist activities which, by setting up along the track, will be able to guarantee a real leap in quality to the excursion offer “.
