In the event of indictment, Ciro Grillo and his three friends accused of group sexual violence against an Italian-Norwegian student will choose the ordinary rite on July 17, 2019 in the house of Beppe Grillo. The decision will be communicated in the next few hours to the judge of the preliminary hearing of Tempio Pausania. Ansa learns this from sources close to the boys.
The lawyers of the four (Enrico Grillo, Romano Raimondo, Gennaro Velle, Ernesto Monteverde, Alessandro Vaccaro and Mariano Mameli) made the decision after several meetings as two would have preferred the shortened procedure. The lawyers also wanted the parents of the defendants to be present, so that they were all aware of the possibilities that this process can reserve in the event of a conviction. It ranges from a minimum of six years to a maximum of 12 because the disputed facts occurred a few days before the entry into force of the red code.
At the time they were all 19, just like Silvia, the Italian-Norwegian girl who denounced them and started the investigation. With her, in that house, there was also her friend Roberta, who slept on the sofa and who did not notice the video or the photographs taken by the same boys and which show them in obscene attitudes next to her asleep.
The next preliminary hearing that will have to decide on the indictment of the young people is set for November 5 in the court of Tempio Pausania.
