GENOA. We try to shed light on what “the gram” means, to which substance that expression refers. And there is no doubt that the consumption of drugs is one of the elements that emerges most strongly from the chats intercepted by the suspected herd: “Today, if we see, cane rods of the perlausen … got weed but then again written … smoked like a pig with the others… I call the Porto Cervo drug dealer ». These (and other phrases) that clearly refer to the use of drugs, were found by examining the phones of Ciro Grillo (son of the comedian and founder M5S Beppe), Edoardo Capitta, Francesco Corsiglia and Vittorio Lauria.
They are the four Genoese students, 22, investigated by the Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor’s Office for group sexual violence: according to the accusation they raped the Italian-Norwegian student Silvia on July 17, 2019 in Beppe Grillo’s apartment in Porto Cervo, while in Ciro , Capitta and Lauria are accused of a second abuse, against Roberta, Sivia’s friend who was sleeping on a sofa, for an obscene photo that portrays them as if they were in front of a prey. The investigators, after having seized the smartphones of the suspects, searched them for messages describing what had happened at the Grillo home.
And yet, together with a series of exchanges considered “significant” on this front (which have been noted in recent days) there are others that the investigators themselves have grouped together to understand how much the drug line needs to be investigated as well. In a long conversation between Edoardo Capitta and his friend Luca dating back to the early afternoon of July 14, therefore a few hours after the suspected violence, in which Silvia is described in great detail and contempt of what happened that night, there are references to vacation planning: “We won’t see you until 29 (he means July 2019, ed) – Capitta reiterates his friend – … let’s go back: cane, 1 gram to celebrate …” On the same front, another WhatsApp exchange relevant to the eyes of those who investigate is the one that materializes on August 1 between Ciro Grillo and the usual Capitta, where these expressions bounce: “I’m in Genoa bro (abbreviation of the English” brother “, brother, ed)…. Today if we see, yes, cane rods of the perlausen … I call the plug (term used to indicate the drug dealer) of Porto Cervo and in two minutes it arrives … ahahaha got weed (a type of marijuana, ed), but then again written (we always refer to types of drugs, ed) ». Then again Grillo in Capitta in the following days: «Smoked like a pig with the others». Capitta: “Was the weed good?” Ciro: «Nothing special», while in another juncture he lets himself go to a «giant blow yesterday!».
Further messages finished in the proceedings certify the organization of new evenings until the end of the summer (in one case at least there is a clear reference to an accommodation in Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany as a potential location), in which the primary objective was to to strike up a “3 vs 1” like the one on July 17. Yet, again in the matter of assorted substances, it should not be forgotten that the two girls present in Grillo’s residence had also referred to the willingness, on the part of the Genoese group, to consume them and to the fact that they were looking for the “advanced” ones. It is difficult, at the moment, to predict what developments will have the investigations in the narcotics sector and above all the timing of the investigation into group rape.
In recent weeks, the chief prosecutor Gregorio Capasso and the deputy Laura Bassani have sent a new notice of conclusion of the preliminary investigations, in which they better circumscribe the various charges and above all the time frame of the alleged abuses. Subsequently Giulia Bongiorno, the former minister who assists Silvia, asked for some interviews released to TV and newspapers by people whom the prosecutors had listened to as witnesses be deposited. It is possible that, in a relatively short time, the Prosecutor’s Office still asks for the indictment of the boys, in the belief that only a trial can settle the matter and criminal responsibilities.
