The Municipality of Genoa will be a civil party in the criminal trial against Autostrade for the collapse of the Morandi bridge. It was made official by the lawyer Lorenza Rosso responding to an article 54 of the councilor of the M5S, Stefano Giordano. “The Municipality of Genoa will be a civil party in the trial on the collapse of the Morandi bridge, the lawyer is preparing the deed of incorporation which will be presented at the preliminary hearing on October 15”. The M5S had been waiting for an official response for four months, in the Sala Rossa, even if the mayor Marco Bucci had said that this would be the step. “Hurray! After months of unanswered answers and shameful traps in the City Council in order to put a gag and undermine the democracy of the Council Chamber, today the coveted answer has arrived: following a question from us – yet another act deposited, moreover – to know the intentions of the civic administration regarding the constitution of a civil party in the process for the collapse of the Morandi viaduct, the Municipality informs that yes … a civil party will be formed in the preliminary hearing and will do so by October 15, vital date to be able to retaliate against all the subjects called to answer for their actions, including those who should opt for the abbreviated procedure ”, says Stefano Giordano, first signatory of the question, which he adds. “We take this credit because it is really all of the M5S which, after having filed questions, motions, agendas and even requested single-issue advice to tackle the very delicate issue, blocked the way to private agreements in the secret rooms. We have won a very important battle for the city and its citizens. We have cornered a mayor who for over 120 days has said everything and the opposite of everything. A mayor who today has not even deigned to answer on the merits and has delegated one of his councilors ”.
