POZZUOLO. Serious road accident shortly after 16.30 on Monday 26 July on the sr 353 in the municipality of Pozzuolo del Friuli. Three vehicles were involved in a crash, which occurred due to causes still under investigation: two cars and a van. The toll is three injured in very critical conditions: one was transported by helicopter rescue to the Cattinara hospital in Trieste, the other two to the Udine hospital with the 118 ambulance.
The firefighters also intervened and freed the wounded wedged between the sheets of the vehicles.
The local police of Pozzuolo del Friuli arrived on the spot for the surveys. During the rescue operations and the removal of vehicles, the sr 353 was closed with inevitable traffic slowdowns which were then diverted.
