Commerce, the District has its own coat of arms with the symbols of Ivrea

Councilor Casali underlines: “This symbol can help to understand that we are all participants in a common project which, thanks to public-private collaboration, aims to rediscover a welcoming and attractive city”

IVREA. On Monday 21 March, at Palazzo Madama in Turin, the regional councilor for Culture, Tourism and Commerce, Vittoria Poggio presented the visual identity of the 77 Commerce Districts recognized by the Region. A fundamental step for the launch of the Piedmontese trade districts, in whose call for the constitution Ivrea ranked first, new territorial systems in which companies, public bodies, trade associations, citizens and various social realities will collaborate to make it more attractive their cities, facilitate the growth of trade and services and encourage the regeneration of the urban fabric.

The Districts of Commerce therefore have a brand that makes them recognizable. It is a logo that is the same for everyone and another, more specific, different for each territory. The common one reproduces the Piedmont flag on a blue background surrounded by a semicircle, with the words «Distretti del Commercio del Piemonte».

The second part is customized in relation to the peculiarities of each and was created by agreeing graphics and text with each of the 77 urban and widespread areas. Each District had the task of identifying the distinctive characteristics to give to its logo so that it represented its territorial identity. The one chosen by Ivrea is a fusion between the heraldic coat of arms of the city and the graphic display of one of the most representative places of the city itself: the castle with red towers. The media-color is orange as a visual reference to the historic carnival of Ivrea and its battle of oranges, a color also used for the candidacy logo of Ivrea, an industrial city of the twentieth century. The councilor for Commerce Costanza Casali underlines: “This is not just a marketing action, but an important step that makes the Ivrea urban trade district more concrete and recognizable, which ranked first in the whole of Piedmont . This symbol can help to understand that we are all participants in a common project which, thanks to public-private collaboration, has the aim of rediscovering a welcoming and attractive city, capable of enhancing all the resources available to the territory. The three-year strategic plan that we have presented is very ambitious and we are aware that there is still a lot to work on, but we are carrying out several of the planned actions and I hope that this year of Ivrea, the Italian capital of the book, will be able to make a strong contribution in this direction “. –
