CONEGLIANO. Professor Umberto Prestia passed away at 84, a year after his beloved partner. He had been ill for some time.
His life was linked to that of Alessandro Del Piero. Because it was he, when Alessandro was just six years old (and his mother wanted him to play in goal, because he was fragile), who had become his first coach and taught him the basics of the ball, in the San Vendemiano football field, at a kilometer from Saccon’s house where the future world champion lived with his family.
