A unique case of its kind: for the first time, in agreement with the Province, it was “Cerletti” himself who directly launched the tender and managed the contract in all its phases. The works, carried out in record time by the Garbujo di Sernaglia company, based on a project by engineer Fiorenzo Carniel and architect Susanna Maset, began in June 2021 and ended in time for the start of the school year, the Sept. 11. The consulting contribution given by the architect Lucio Bottan is precious. Important is the recovery of the attic with wooden beams which also recalls the historicity of the institute. The timing of execution of the works is also record-breaking, with the company at work also in the week of August 15th.

An investment in the future for the oldest Italian school of oenology. It was in the distant 1883 that the first stone of the boarding school was laid (with burial even of a bottle) with the conclusion of the works in November of the same year. Now the intervention on the boarding school, directed by Canio Massimiliano Potenza, which hosts about sixty students who come from outside the province and from outside the region, in addition to the semi-boarders who use the “daily” services but return to their homes in the evening. «The accommodation of the boarding school – said the director of the Institute, Mariagrazia Morgan – had long been a” dream in the drawer “that we had to sacrifice to give priority to other emergencies. Then the Covid arrived which led us to break the delay and make an effort to guarantee more vital space for our boarders ».

Many authorities wished to be present yesterday morning, including various former students such as the regional councilor Roberto Bet and the president of Banca Prealpi SanBiagio, Carlo Antiga. The principal wanted to remember another former pupil, Michele De Vecchi, the 25-year-old who disappeared in recent days, suffering from cardiac arrest while training in the paths of Collalto. –
