The future of Naples and the fight against the Camorra must be “a national question”. This is the appeal of the President of the Chamber Roberto Fico who, in Secondigliano, participates in the meeting organized in the Sandro Pertini center of the Larsec association chaired by Vincenzo Strino with the mayor Gaetano Manfredi, the prosecutor Giovanni Melillo and the journalist Maddalena Oliva.
“Naples – says Fico – can be a city that looks strongly to the future, but this will only be possible if the institutions undertake a new path together and make a new pact between the state and citizens”. The Speaker of the House agrees with the prosecutor Giovanni Melillo, who had denounced a “trivialization of the Camorra” and its “underestimation” even in the national political debate. “I agree, there is the idea of a fragmentation of the Camorra, as if it were less strong. But it is not so. We must have the Camorra as a national issue and work not only for its containment, but for its elimination” . On the Quirinale, Fico reiterates: “I will never speak of names, my appeal to the political forces is to seek unity of purpose”.
