There are 26,561 positive tests for coronavirus recorded in Italy in the last 24 hours. On the same day a week ago there were 38,507 (-31.0%). In the last 7 days (May 14-20) there were 208,640 cases, a decrease of 21.1% compared to the previous week (May 7-13).
The decline in the contagion curve is also confirmed by the swab positivity rate. There are 233,745 molecular and antigenic tests registered today. Last Friday there were 265,647. The positivity rate is now 11.36% against 14.50% 7 days ago (-21.6%). In the last 7 days, the average positivity rate was 13%, down 11.4% compared to the previous week.
The victims are 89 in one day, while a week ago there were 115 (-22.6% in 7 days). In the last week there were 736 deaths, a decrease of 6.5% compared to the previous one.
There are 307 patients admitted to intensive care, one less than yesterday in the balance between income and expenses. The daily admissions are 36. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 6,812, or 208 fewer than yesterday.
