In the last 24 hours in Italy there are 2949 new cases and 44 coronavirus victims. This is what emerges from the bulletin released by the Ministry of Health. Although Covid continues to die (the total victims are now 126,046), it was 7 and a half months, from 15 October last year, that there was not such a small number of deaths.
Intensive care and ordinary hospitalizations are also decreasing. In all, there are 1,061 people in intensive care (34 less than yesterday) while in the ordinary wards 6,591 are hospitalized with symptoms (209 fewer in the last 24 hours).
The swabs processed were 164,495. And the positivity rate is therefore 1.8%, up from 1.4% yesterday when there were 3,351 cases and 83 victims.
The number of currently positives is 238,296, down 3,670 from yesterday. A total of 6,574 were discharged and recovered, for a total of 3,851,661 since the beginning of the epidemic.
At the territorial level, the regions with the highest number of infections are Lombardy (458), Campania (385), Sicily (348) and Lazio (278).

VALLE D’AOSTA
There are 16 new Covid cases registered in the Aosta Valley in the last 24 hours for a total that has risen to 11,567 since the beginning of the pandemic. This is what emerges from the regional bulletin; no deaths in the same time frame for a total of 472 victims. In South Tyrol there are 40 new cases of Covid-19 out of 2,970 swabs processed yesterday. For the sixth consecutive day there are no deaths for a total of 1,175 victims since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. The new positivity are 33 out of 534 molecular swabs examined and 7 out of 2,436 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours. Out of 217,817 people subjected to molecular swab, 48,314 tested positive. There are 26,115 people positive to an antigen test. The healed are 72,543. Covid patients hospitalized in normal hospital wards are 16 and those in intensive care 4.

PIEDMONT
Today the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region reported 233 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19, equal to 2.2% of 10,457 swabs performed, of which 7,010 antigenic. There is also a death, but it did not occur today. The total is now 11,624 deaths who tested positive for the virus. The total of positive cases therefore becomes 364,176. The number of people admitted to intensive care decreased to 80 (- 4); there are 625 (- 3) hospitalized patients not in intensive care. VENETO
150 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Veneto in the last 24 hours, leading to 423,267 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. The figure emerges from the regional bulletin, which reports a death, with the total at 11,559 victims. Hospital admissions drop below 700, with 608 patients (-6) in total. There are 41 new Covid cases registered in Liguria in the last 24 hours for a total of 102,718 since the beginning of the pandemic. This is what emerges from the regional bulletin. TUSCANY
Another 263 Covid cases (average age down to 39 years) and another eight deaths (average age 85.9 years) in Tuscany according to the Region’s 24-hour report. Coronavirus hospitalizations in hospitals are still decreasing, down to 532 patients (less than 25 people on yesterday, equal to -4.5%) of which 110 in intensive care (four fewer). With the new infections detected, the total cases of positivity in the region rise to 241,275 (+ 0.1% on the previous day). There were 486 healed in 24 hours (all complete healings with negative swab) and they grow in percentage more than the new positives (+ 0.2%) reaching 226,182. The total number of victims, on the other hand, rises to 6,706 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic. The current positives are 8,387 today, down 2.7% from yesterday. In addition to the hospitalized there are 7,855 patients in home isolation with symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or without symptoms (206 units less equal to -4.5%). Trust quarantines are also down: now there are 21,437 isolated people (1,149 fewer than yesterday, a figure of -5.1%), under active surveillance by the authorities for having had contact with infected people and their clinical conditions in a condition that avoids the risk of spreading any contagion received.

MOLISE
CAMPANIA
The positivity index in Campania dates back with fewer tests. According to data from the Crisis Unit of the Region, in the last 24 hours there are 385 positive cases out of 9,819 molecular swabs examined. The incidence rate is, therefore, equal to 3.92% compared to the previous 2.97%. Only one deceased person is registered. There are 874 healed. In hospitals, the number of places occupied in intensive care continues to decline, 61, and hospitalizations in hospital are 733 today.
BASILICATA
There are 19 new infections, in the last 24 hours in Basilicata, due to Covid, compared to 668 molecular swabs processed. This is what the regional task force reports that 61 recovered. With this update, the currently positive Lucanians are 3,706, of which 3,647 in home isolation. 21,446 people residing in Basilicata recovered from the beginning of the health emergency and 556 died. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 30 new Covid cases were detected in Sardinia in the last 24 hours: the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic thus rises to 56,643. Overall, 1,302,238 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 1,062 tests compared to the previous figure. One death in the same period for 1,461 in all. On the other hand, 141 (-4) people are currently hospitalized in the medical area, while the number of patients in intensive care remains unchanged (14).
