Coronavirus, in Puglia still over 2,000 new cases. The swab-positive ratio is almost 16%

For the second time since the beginning of the pandemic, a day with over 2,000 cases reported. And the growth of the currently positives is only held back by the high number of healed. There are 2,033 new cases of Covid-19 infection, compared to 12,807 tests carried out according to the data released in the bulletin of 25 March. The percentage of positive swabs on those carried out – including control ones – is 15.87 percent, just over half a point higher than last week.

And if you look at the average data on new infections calculated on the basis of 7 days, it becomes evident that the absolute peak of new positives recorded in the first half of December 2020 has been exceeded in these days (about 1,590 per day in the week 30 November-6 December against the current 1,650 average). For the calculation, the dates of transmission of the Region were used which may however differ slightly from the actual dates of execution of the pads.

The infected today are divided as follows: 858 in the province of Bari, 153 in the province of Brindisi, 144 in the province of Bat, 366 in the province of Foggia, 152 in the province of Lecce, 350 in the province of Taranto, 1 case of resident outside the region, 9 cases of unknown province of residence.

There are 37 deaths recorded in the latest communication (12 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Brindisi, 13 in the province of Foggia, 4 in the province of Lecce, 7 in the province of Taranto) bringing the total of victims to 4,606. While with 1,976 healed more than yesterday’s communications, the negativized reach 133,996.

With these figures, the currently positive (total cases less deaths and healed) rise to 44,177. Of these 1,993 are in hospital: still a slight increase compared to yesterday between entries and exits.
