In Italy, on January 27, another 155,697 cases and 389 victims of coronavirus were recorded. This is a decrease of 17.5% compared to 188,797 infections on the same day a week ago. The swabs carried out are 1,039,756, with a positivity rate of 14.97%, stable compared to 15.2% of the previous day. On the other hand, intensive care and ordinary hospitalizations continue to decline. Intensive classes amounted to 1,645, 20 less than January 26 in the balance between entries and exits, with 125 daily entries. 19,853 hospitalized patients with symptoms in ordinary wards, 148 fewer than the previous day.

In Abruzzo another 3,615 cases and 9 deaths

The death toll of patients in Abruzzo rises to 2,786 with another 9 cases today, aged between 64 and 94 years. Three deaths, caused by the virus, were recorded in the province of Chieti, 2 in the province of Teramo, 3 in the province of L’Aquila and 1 dates back to recent days, but it was only communicated today by the ASL. Since yesterday in the region, 391 have recovered from Covid, 3,615 new cases, aged between 1 month and 100 years, which bring the total of Coronavirus infections, since the beginning of the emergency and net of realignments, to 204,954. The total number also includes 98,803 discharged and recovered. Of today’s positives 2,355 were detected by rapid antigen testing. Currently positive in Abruzzo are 103,365, 3,212 more from yesterday. There are 415 (7 more than yesterday) hospitalized in the medical areas of regional hospitals. There are 40 patients in intensive care (1 less than yesterday).

Marche: 358 hospitalizations and 8 victims in one day

In the last 24 hours, 8 victims related to Covid have been recorded in the Marche, all subjects with previous pathologies. They are two women, 89 and 90 years old from Senigallia (Ancona), an 81 year old woman from Porto San Giorgio (Fermo), a 74 year old man from Offida (Ascoli Piceno), an 89 year old woman from Appignano ( Macerata), a 74-year-old man from Tolentino (Macerata), a 61-year-old woman from Civitanova Marche (Macerata) and finally, today’s youngest victim, a 47-year-old man from Porto Sant’Elpidio (Fermo). The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic thus rises to 3,395. As far as hospitalizations are concerned, there are a total of 358 patients assisted in hospital structures in the region. Of these, 57 patients occupy intensive care, 71 are hospitalized in semi-intensive areas, while 230 are hospitalized in non-intensive wards. Still, 224 are guests of the territorial structures and 62 patients in the emergency room. This was announced by the Regional Epidemiological Observatory.

Puglia, 8,117 new cases and 9 deaths

Today in Puglia there are 8,117 new positives out of 43,375 tests performed (positivity index 18.7%). There are 9 dead. The new cases, broken down by province, are distributed as follows: 2,522 in the province of Bari; 863 in the province of Bat; 841 in the province of Brindisi; 1,235 in the province of Foggia; 1,521 in the province of Lecce; 1.005 in the province of Taranto. There are 67 residents outside the region and 63 are those for whom the province they belong to is being defined. Of the 126,896 people currently positive, 698 are hospitalized in a non-critical area (yesterday 685), 66 in intensive care (yesterday 61).
