Coronavirus, the number of cases in Fvg is still growing: 782 positive and five deaths registered in 24 hours

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia, out of 8,959 molecular swabs, 716 new infections were detected with a positivity rate of 7.99%. In addition, 15,860 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 66 cases (0.42%) were detected.

Today there are 5 deaths: these are two men from Trieste, respectively 81 and 73 years old, who died in hospital, a 74-year-old man from Muggia, who died in a residence for the elderly, a 101-year-old woman , of Pasiano di Pordenone, who died in hospital, and of a 75-year-old man from Tavagnacco, who died in hospital.

There are 26 people admitted to intensive care, while patients in other wards are 232.

This was announced by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The deaths totaled 3,948, with the following territorial subdivision: 897 in Trieste, 2,040 in Udine, 699 in Pordenone and 312 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 117,362, the clinically healed 131, while those in isolation are 5,969.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 127,668 people have been positive (the total of positive cases was reduced by 8 units following 5 antigen tests not confirmed by the subsequent molecular swab and following 3 positive tests removed after review of the case ) with the following territorial subdivision: 29,537 in Trieste, 55,950 in Udine, 24,770 in Pordenone, 15,647 in Gorizia and 1,764 from outside the region.

As regards the regional health system, a health assistant, a nurse, a socio-health worker and three laboratory technicians from the Giuliano Isontina university health company were found to be positive; an administrative, a nurse and a specialized technical worker from the Western Friuli health authority; of a medical director and a nurse from the Friuli Centrale university health authority.

15 cases were detected among the guests of the residences for the elderly in the region (Muggia, Gorizia, Grado, Cordenons, Trieste and San Daniele del Friuli) and the positivity of 3 operators within the structures was found (San Dorligo della Valle , Udine and Nimis).

Finally, the contagion of a person returning to Friuli Venezia Giulia is recorded.
