SASSARI. Sardinia will not close its doors, not even to those who come from the red areas to go to their second home. There will be no ordinances or particular restrictions: the control system at the entrances will instead be strengthened. President Christian Solinas himself announced it: “We will try to improve the text filter for those who want to get to the island,” he says. Like? The goal is ambitious and difficult, but in these hours the Region is trying to push on airlines and shipping companies, as well as on port and airport management companies. A work of persuasion that has one goal: to strengthen the checks on departure to Sardinia, in order to minimize those on arrival: “Those who are not up to date with a vaccine or swab will not leave”. The most accredited hypothesis is that of an agreement with Alitalia that could bring passengers headed to Sardinia into the corridor already tested by Covid free flights on the Milan-Rome.
