On the order of the Prosecutor of Cuneo, the body of the Valle d’Aosta deputy who died at 34 will be subjected to medico-legal investigations

Corrado Gex’s remains were exhumed as part of the investigation that the Cuneo prosecutor is carrying out to shed light on the death of the Valle d’Aosta deputy.

Corrado Gex died on 25 April 1966 in Castelnuovo di Ceva, in the province of Cuneo, in the crash of the plane he was flying due to an accident officially caused by bad weather. However, different theses have always existed on the death of the 34-year-old parliamentarian, in particular that of an attack supported for years by Igino Melotti, author of the book “Corrado Gex was killed”.

The chief prosecutor of Cuneo Onelio Dodero explained to the newspaper La Stampa that he had ordered the exhumation «for further medico-legal investigations, necessary to clarify some points and reconstruct the historical truth. In one sense or another ».

Gex’s body rested in the cemetery of Arvier, his town of origin. The remains were transferred to Milan to carry out specialist examinations whose results will be known in October.
