Cortina, destroys the Ferrari against a truck

Accident in the Fiames area: no serious injuries but a fireball reduced to sheet metal

CORTINA. He loses control of Ferrari and ends up in a truck. Accident without injuries but with a flaming red Ferrari F8 practically destroyed, at 11.45 am on Tuesday 7 June in Fiames di Cortina. No one was injured although the signs of the blow taken by the passenger remained on the crystal of the powerful car: the classic rose on the windshield. The Cortina firefighters intervened along the SS 51 in Fiames di Cortina near the roadhouse: the Ferrari had ended up in the ditch after the crash with the articulated lorry.

From the first reconstructions of the carabinieri patrol of the Cortina Radiomobile, the Ferrari driver, a Czech, would have lost control of the vehicle at a curve: more or less the area is that of Podestagno. After a revving of momentum, the rear train of the Ferrari took off and in the corners and along part of the following straight, it was almost unmanageable. In the direction of Cortina, just along the same straight, the heavy vehicle was traveling, the driver of which saw the racing car in front that proceeded in an “S”. The Czech was probably trying to steer and counter-steer to control the car: maneuvers that proved useless. The crash in the end was inetivable and the Ferrari ended up in a ditch.

The firefighters arrived from the local detachment secured the Ferrari F8 and the heavy vehicle. The carabinieri diverted the traffic and carried out the measurements of the accident. The operations of the rescue firefighters ended after about two hours with the removal of the vehicles by the roadside assistance.
