Controls by the Finance Police: staff without protective equipment and ‘serious hygiene deficiencies’

AOSTA. Six massage centers located in Aosta were closed by the financial police during a series of checks on compliance with the measures against the spread of Covid-19.

Within the businesses, run by Chinese citizens, there was no customer traceability register and staff did not wear personal protective equipment such as face masks, visors and disposable pads. In some cases, there were also no information signs on the maximum capacity of the premises

To these violations are added “serious hygienic deficiencies”: pillows, sheets and towels were found in the massage boxes “clearly and excessively dirty, not sanitized and consequently never replaced after each service”.

The managers were sanctioned with fines ranging from a minimum of 400 to a maximum of 1,000 euros and with the suspension of the activity for 5 days.

“The outcome of the inspection activities – the Aosta Group of the Gdf said – will also be sent to the competent health authorities for the assessments of competence and for the possible adoption of further measures”.

“Initiatives and activities that implement potential and dangerous ways of transmitting the virus cannot be tolerated”.
