The new restrictions concern Catenanuova and Cerami, in the province of Enna; Mussomeli, in the Nisseno; Sant’Alfio, in the province of Catania.
CATANIA – Four new “red zones” and extension for another eight in Sicily. The president of the Region Nello Musumeci ordered it, with an order just signed.
The new restrictions – in force from Friday 16 to Wednesday 28 April – concern: Catenanuova and Cerami, in the province of Enna; Mussomeli, in the Nisseno; Sant’Alfio, in the province of Catania.
The measures, necessary for the considerable increase in the number of Covid positives, were requested by the municipal administrations and following the reports of the provincial health authorities.
The extensions – from tomorrow until Thursday 22 April – were instead adopted, at the request of the mayors, for: Caltanissetta; Biancavilla, in the province of Catania; Centuripe, Pietraperzia and Regalbuto, in the Ennese area; Francavilla di Sicilia, in the province of Messina; Lampedusa and Linosa, in the Agrigento area; Mazarin, in the Nisseno area.
With the four “armored” municipalities of more than 100 Sicilian centers are in lockdown due to the increase in infections, in which 82 (including the capital) of the province of Palermo stand out.
