Covid, a surge in infections among children. One in four cases between the ages of 6 and 11

For a day, the infections catch our breath: 12,877 positive at Covid yesterday. It had been 13,686 on Friday. But as far as deaths are concerned, it was a black day: 90, never so many since June. On Friday there were 51. The weekly report of the Higher Institute of Health (ISS) confirms the general worsening: “The weekly incidence is increasing sharply: 112 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, compared to 88 the week before”.
