UDINE. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, infections return to over a thousand, with the regional bulletin on Covid on Tuesday 22 February which records 1,089 new cases, with 9 deaths.

In detail, 250 new infections were detected on 5,940 molecular swabs, with a positive percentage of 4.21%. There are also 11,967 rapid antigenic tests carried out, from which 839 cases (7.01%) were detected.

There are 18 people admitted to intensive care, while patients hospitalized in other departments drop to 301.

As regards the trend of the spread of the virus among the population, the most affected group is the 40-49 (18.46%), followed by the 50-59 years (16.90%) and the 30-39 (14 , 69%). Today the deaths of 9 people are recorded: a 100-year-old woman from Magnano in Riviera (who died in hospital), a 97-year-old woman from Trieste (who died in a facility for the elderly), a 94-year-old woman from Monfalcone ( died in a facility for the elderly), an 88-year-old man from Spilimbergo (who died at home), an 87-year-old woman from Cervignano (who died in a nursing home), an 85-year-old man from Romans d’Isonzo (who died in hospital), an 82-year-old man from Aiello del Friuli (who died in hospital), an 82-year-old man from Rivignano-Teor (who died in hospital) and an 81-year-old man from Rivignano Teor (who died in hospital).

The deaths rise to a total of 4,739, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,154 in Trieste, 2,269 in Udine, 901 in Pordenone and 415 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 276,657, the clinically healed 332.

As for the people currently in isolation on the regional territory, there are 22,632.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 304,679 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 65,767 in Trieste, 126,493 in Udine, 73,677 in Pordenone, 34,330 in Gorizia and 4,412 from outside the region. The total of cases was reduced by 2 units following an antigenic swab not confirmed by the molecular swab in Pordenone and a test removed after the review of the case again in the Pordenone area.

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the following positive aspects were found: in the Giuliano Isontina university health care unit an administrative, 3 technicians, a therapist, a doctor and 3 social health workers; an administrative, 6 nurses, 4 doctors, 4 social health workers, a midwife, a psychologist, a technician and a therapist in the Friuli Centrale university health care agency; in the Western Friuli health authority 2 administrators, 4 nurses, 3 doctors, a socio-health worker, a technician and a therapist; 2 technicians at Irccs Cro in Aviano.

With regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the infections of 21 guests and 18 operators were recorded.
