Covid, the bulletin of Saturday 28 August: 114 new cases registered in Fvg, one death

UDINE. Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 97 new infections have been detected on 3,756 molecular swabs – including 3 migrants / asylum seekers in Trieste (2) and Gorizia (1) – with a positive percentage of 2.58%. There are also 4,745 rapid antigenic tests performed from which 17 cases (0.36%) were detected. Today there is the death of a 76-year-old woman admitted to the Trieste hospital with previous pathologies; 11 people are hospitalized in intensive care while 40 are hospitalized in other departments.

This was announced by the deputy governor of Friuli Venezia Giulia with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.

The deaths totaled 3,799, with the following territorial subdivision: 814 in Trieste, 2,017 in Udine, 675 in Pordenone and 293 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 105,544, the clinically healed 75 while the people in isolation amount to 1,112.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 110,581 infections have been recorded (the figure was reduced by two units following a review of the cases) with the following territorial subdivision: 21,977 in Trieste, 51,516 in Udine, 22,198 in Pordenone, 13,362 in Gorizia and 1,528 from outside the region.

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the positivity of a technician, a nurse and a socio-health worker from the Giuliano Isontina university health agency was detected.

Two operators were infected with residential facilities for the elderly. Finally, two positive cases were recorded on returning from abroad (Ivory Coast and the United States).
