This is the denunciation of the president of Anpi Cuneo, Ughetta Biancotto: in the viewfinder the panel placed two years ago near the famous bronze sculpture 20 meters high and created by Umberto Mastroianni, who was a partisan in the Canavese area. “It probably happened in the past few days. We noticed it this morning when we went to make the institutional greeting with the mayor, the deputy mayor and the partisan associations” explains Biancotto.
“They are continuing – continues Biancotto – small vandalisms that are not indifferent precisely referring to the Resistance. In that place there, in the square in front, swastikas have been drawn which have been erased. Then some commemorative posters have been torn. I remember all the partisans who fought for freedom. Let us never be intimidated by these new vandalisms and these new rights that try to undermine the meaning of April 25. We will always go forward, we do not be intimidated, we cannot close our eyes “.
