After the recent farewell to Edoardo Trione, there is still a mourning for the entrepreneurial world of the Alto Canavese area that mourns the death of another protagonist of an important page in the history of the industrialization of our territory. Alberto Oria passed away on Saturday 19 June, at the age of 91, for all “Bertino”. Born in 1929, cuorgnatese doc, Oria nurtured a single great passion: mechanics, the one made up of effort and sweat, which started from the “boite”, as the workshops are called in our latitudes, in which generations of far-sighted entrepreneurs who have able to overcome moments marked by critical economic times and the challenge of globalization head on, just like Mr. Bertino.
Alberto Oria started working very young, attended evening vocational schools and, together with his father, bought the first lathe. Therefore, the first jobs began and, thanks to his great dexterity and precision, Oria snc was born shortly afterwards, in 1954. The small artisan reality, which operates in the mechanical processing sector and is based in via Camposanto in Cuorgnè, has been maintained over time and currently sees the third family generation actively involved in the company.
Married to Marisa Poletto since 1955, Oria, an open and cordial character, an esteemed and well-liked person in the city, but not only, was a great grenade fan and deeply loved “his” Cuorgnè that he never left. The funeral of Alberto Oria, who leaves his children Gian Piero and Marina with their families in addition to his wife, will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 22 June, at 10.30, in the parish of San Dalmazzo. The rosary will be recited this evening, Monday 21, at 20.30, in the same church.c.c.
