A terrible fall, which involved a good number of riders, including the winner of the last two Tours de France, the Dane Jonas Vingegaard, the Belgian champion Remco Evenepoel and the time trial Olympian Primoz Roglic, occurred during of today’s stage of the Tour of the Basque Country.

Of particular concern are the conditions of Vingegaard, who remained motionless on the ground for a long time, as reported by the online edition of ‘Marca’, before being placed on a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance. Roglic and Evenepoel however managed to get up, but the Belgian appeared quite sore and it is assumed that he has a broken collarbone. Meanwhile, at the moment, the race is stopped, awaiting the arrival, ‘Marca’ reports, of other ambulances.
