The deputy minister at Mims, Teresa Bellanova, received the taxi drivers’ unions. According to what has been learned, the organizations reiterated their request to remove article 10 of the Competition Bill, under examination by the Chamber’s Productive Activities Commission, and asked for the implementation decrees of the sector reform passed by Parliament in 2019 to be launched. The trade unions present at the meeting reiterated the 48-hour national strike of 5 and 6 July.

The 2021 Annual Competition Law is now under discussion in the House’s Productive Activities Committee. It will be approved by Montecitorio, in second reading, by 22 July. A passage of the text in third reading in the Senate is not excluded.
