Another 35 cases concern the English variant and 2 the Brazilian one. From 12 to 21 June, people who did not have the vaccine booster fluctuated between 2.8 and 4.8 percent
UDINE. “Of the 96 samples analyzed in Fvg, 67 showed the
presence of a variant. Specifically, 35 cases are of the Alpha type
(English), 25 Delta (Indian) and 2 Gamma (Brazilian) while the rest
belong to the “other” category.
Furthermore, of the 67 cases detected, most (27) come from family contagion, while 12 have to do with refugees in the region and 6 from infections between friends “.
The Fvg region highlights this in a note.
“All this makes us say – explains the commissioner Riccardi – how much it is
the tracking work we are doing is fundamental, in addition to
remember the importance for those who have booked inoculation
of the second dose that they show up at the scheduled appointment.
Only in this way could we continue to monitor the
spread of the contagion, especially that linked to
variants “.
Regarding this point – the importance of the second dose,
Riccardi explains: “The people who did not come from 12 to 21 June
subjected to the booster of the anticovid vaccine oscillate between 2.8 and
4.8 percent. It is however necessary to recover the undecided because it is in
this way that it becomes possible to keep the variants under control,
also analyzed by the Region with punctuality and accuracy “.
This was stated by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health
Riccardo Riccardi, commenting on the available data that take into account
both the difference between second doses booked and administered and the
presence of variants in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
“In particular – Riccardi clarifies – it emerges that over the 10
days between 12 and 21 June, those who have not completed
the booster with the second dose of mRna-based vaccine are 2.8 per
one hundred. The reservations amounted to 46,403 doses, while those
45,106 were actually inoculated. As for instead
the use of Astrazeneca, the difference, over the same period
time is 4.8 percent: the doses booked for the booster were
12,652 while those administered turn out to be 12,044. We can
therefore to state that these differences found are almost
physiological and therefore the vaccination campaign is continuing without
particular difficulties “.
