Denise, Anna Corona and Giuseppe Della Key investigated: are we close to the turning point?

by admin

PALERMO The investigations into the disappearance of Denise Pipitone, the child kidnapped in front of her home in Mazara Del Vallo, start exactly where they started 17 years ago. And they start once again with the main suspect, Anna Corona – former wife of Pietro Pulizzi, current husband of Piera Maggio and biological father of Denise – whose position had already been filed.

The woman is the mother of Jessica Pulizzi, tried and definitively acquitted of the kidnapping charge. Now Anna Corona would be investigated again for the same crime together with another person already involved in the investigation, Giuseppe Della Key. The news of their registration in the register of suspects was given during the program Quarto Grado, broadcast on Rete 4. The indiscretion did not find official confirmation from the Marsala Public Prosecutor’s Office, which in recent days had reopened the investigation and which is again analyzing some interceptions.

The investigations immediately focused on Anna Corona after Denise’s mother, Piera Maggio, had revealed to the investigators that the child was the natural daughter of Piero Pulizzi and not of her husband Toni Pipitone. Precisely for this reason both Pulizzi’s ex-wife and daughter Jessica would have harbored a strong resentment against the woman, held responsible for the end of the marriage.

The investigators had immediately gone to Anna Corona’s home for an inspection, but incredibly the woman had received them in the apartment of a neighbor on the ground floor, while she lived on the first floor. That building in via Pirandello was only inspected in recent days, 17 years after the kidnapping, in search of a secret room or a trap door where the child might have been hidden.

In front of the journalists who have returned to interview her again in recent days, Anna Corona defended herself by claiming to be the victim of a “media trial” and added: “My daughters and I can afford to walk with our heads held high in Mazara del Vallo, we have nothing to hide and nothing to be forgiven ». And his lawyer, the lawyer Gioacchino Sbacchi, who was also the defender of Giulio Andreotti, says he learned the news of the alleged entry in the register of suspects by televisions. «We don’t know. We will officially ask the Prosecutor if the investigations have actually been reopened ».

Giuseppe Della Key, another character already finished in the investigation, is the nephew of Battista Della Key, the deaf-mute witness, now deceased, who had revealed that he had seen little Denise in a shed in Mazara del Vallo in the arms of his nephew. According to Battista Della Key’s story, the child after being kidnapped was taken with a scooter to a pier, wrapped in a blanket, before being loaded onto a boat. Della Key’s testimony, collected by the lawyer Giacomo Frazzitta, Denise’s family lawyer, had been bitterly contested by her family members who had argued that the man did not know sign language. Before the magistrates, with the help of a consultant, the witness then availed himself of the right not to answer.

In recent days, the lawyer Frazzitta received an anonymous letter, delivered to the Public Prosecutor of Marsala, in which an eyewitness reported that he had seen Denise in a car with other people, shortly after the kidnapping: «He was crying, shouting ‘help mom’. I’m very sure one hundred percent of what I saw “, he would have written anonymously, adding that” I didn’t speak before out of fear. ” Frazzitta did not wish to comment in any way on the news of the registration of Anna Corona and Giuseppe Della Key in the register of suspects, however expressing his bewilderment “for a violation of the secret of the investigation which risks damaging the investigations”. The lawyer does not want to hear about a turning point: “The only turning point we expect – he explains – is the discovery of Denise”.
