Dominicans in New York Turn Out to Vote in Dominican Republic National Elections

Dominicans in New York confirmed up in giant numbers to train their proper to vote within the nationwide elections within the Dominican Republic.

One polling station in Washington Heights, a key hub for the Dominican group, noticed over 2,000 registered voters who reported that the voting day went easily. However, there was some concern in regards to the lower-than-expected turnout.

Community chief and activist Roberto Rojas expressed his help for all teams and supplied transportation help, emphasizing the solidarity amongst Dominicans within the diaspora.

On January 21, over 274,000 Dominicans in New York state had registered to vote.

Various teams had representatives monitoring the election day actions. At the Salomé Ureña faculty, which hosted 5 polling stations with 2,748 registered voters, some attendees expressed apprehension in regards to the final result.

With over 800,000 registered voters overseas, the polling stations throughout New York City had been buzzing with anticipation as Dominicans awaited the ends in the hours to return.
