The Salesians of Peru wrote in a note: «David left us with just 48 years of life, 28 years as a Salesian and was about to celebrate his 20 years of priesthood, next 21 June. Days ago we witnessed the affection of his community and the people of him during his birthday.
We pray so much for him, for his mother Marinella and father Ivone, for his whole family, so many Salesian friends and so many people who feel that in David they lose a father, a brother and a friend.
For this reason the first session of the Inspection Chapter has been suspended and we will shortly give information on his funeral.
The Help of Christians welcomes him with tenderness and surely he will already be infecting his happiness in the Oratory of Heaven together with Father Don Bosco ».
